Lapsus a Schema Libero is a forge of imaginary solutions that explore the combinatorial game, the palindrome and the ambiguity through word and sound.

Lapsus a Schema Libero is a forge of imaginary solutions that explore the combinatorial game, the palindrome and the ambiguity through word and sound.

A dizzying attraction for the riddle creates a series of musical inventions inspired by puzzles, both in the form of intricate game-structures dear to literary currents such as OuLiPo and OpLePo by Perec, Queneau and Calvino, and in their more everyday guise, that of the Settimana Enigmistica, the Italian most popular crossword puzzle magazine.

Lapsus a Schema Libero brings that familiar pastime to the stage, dragging the spectators among palindromic tunes and lipograms, “joining the dots” of a crossword puzzle to those of Italian literature, from Dante to Giacomo Leopardi, with Calvinian lightness.

The project involves as a guest the eclectic multi-instrumentalist Vincenzo Vasi,  with his theremin and his surreal theater of objects.

Lapsus a Schema Libero has been selected for the Italian Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation call for proposals “Vivere all’Italiana in Musica“.
